Itās the story of a lovely lady and a man named Brady. With the help of their housekeeper, Alice, these parents raised their six children. Thatās Greg (Barry Williams), Peter (Christopher Knight), and Bobby (Mike Lookinland), Marcia (Maureen McCormick), Jan (Eve Plumb), and Cindy (Susan Olsen).Ā
For some time, there were even more āfamily membersā living in the Brady home. For the first season of this sitcom, the family also had a fluffy and fun-loving dog named Tiger.Ā
The Brady boys first adopted this dog when they were living with their single father. Tiger eventually became the familyās pet when they moved together with the girls. Tiger was also known for causing mischief, even during the wedding of Mike and Carol.Ā
Tiger was noticeably missing from some episodes of āThe Brady Bunchā
This loveable dog appeared in a handful of episodes, spending time with the Brady clan. However, after an incident with the dog on set, the Brady family, (as well as the cast and the crew of this sitcom,) had to say goodbye to Tiger.
āTragically, during the filming of the episode āKatchoo,ā the original Tiger was struck and killed by a delivery vehicle (varying reports claim it was either a florist or pizza boy) on the Paramount Studio lot,ā Me TV reported.
āThe show had to go on, so the trainer rushed to find a replacement to complete filming for the episode,ā the article continues. āUnfortunately, the new Tiger wasnāt the actor his predecessor was.ā This new dog was excluded from The Brady Bunch.
The Brady Bunch family briefly had another petĀ
Tiger wouldnāt be the first Brady pet to disappear from the sitcom. The girlsā cat, āFluffy,ā who appeared in the first episode, caused some trouble at the Brady wedding. After that, the cat was missing from future episodes without much explanation from the Bradys.Ā
Pets aside, these characters were always busy with school, going on dates, or just spending time in the backyard. The Brady Bunch ran for over 100 episodes, with some of the kids growing up on television.Ā
When these characters reappeared for the movie adaptation, titled The Brady Bunch Movie, which premiered during the 1990s. Without Tiger or Fluffy, these characters did their best to save their childhood home via a talent show.
