J-Hopeās real name is Jung Hoseok
Although some fans know him by his stage name, when heās not performing, some know him by his birth name of Jung Hoseok. Because of his real name, fans (and other BTS members) often refer to this performer as āHobi,ā āHoseokie,ā and āSeokie.ā (Not to be confused with āKookie,ā one of the nicknames of the youngest member of the group, Jungkook.)

Although he does have an official stage name, there are a few other nicknames awarded to J-Hope by the BTS ARMY. Because of his bright and often āsunnyā disposition, some BTS fans nicknamed J-Hope āSunshine.ā Others often refer to him as āJ-Dopeā or āJ-Nope,ā a play on the idolās official stage name.Ā
According to fans on Quora, fans also gave him the ātagā the āGolden Hyung,ā similar to Jungkookās nickname, the āGolden Maknae.ā (These names mostly stem from J-Hopeās talent, whether that be through dance, rapping, writing, or singing.) However, when this performer introduces himself during interviews, he typically uses his official stage name.
